The storage of such weapons was legalized by the Lithuanian authorities six months ago. The importance of this decision was expressed by Vespiker Seima Paulus Saudargas.

He stated that Lithuanians should have access to weapons and learn how to use it in case there is a need to resist the enemy. "Let's look at the reality in Ukraine. The reality in which not only trained and prepared armed forces that had weapons, but the whole people came into battle. There was a territorial defense organized mostly quickly. What to do when there is a war in your country ? ", - said the spokesman.

The National Security and Defense Committee also supplemented the law with the provisions of banning the purchase and storage of weapons in the territory of Lithuania for citizens of Russia and Belarus who do not have Lithuanian citizenship.
