A weapon register in Ukraine can work in October - the Ministry of Internal Affairs

If the law No. 5708 on the right to civilian firearms is not approved in the near future, then the Ministry of Internal Affairs will launch a single register of weapons by the end of October by the end of October by making appropriate changes to the departmental by -laws. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Igor Bondarenko in an interview with Ukrinform. “The registry is currently in the research operation, procedures and processes that automate the system are tested.

If the relevant law is not adopted in the near future, by amending the departmental by -laws, by the end of October we launch a single register of weapons for industrial operation with the set of services that are ready and possible at this time, ”the deputy minister said.

Video of the day according to Bondarenko, the register will be able to fully work at the end of October, and citizens will be able to "see information about themselves, understand the relevance of terms for documents, receive new services, etc. ". The Deputy Minister explained that the system will document the full life cycle of weapons - from its import or production to sale and destruction. This will help to create the conditions for preventing its illegal circulation.

The functionality of the register involves the creation of an e -cabinet of the owner of the weapon, through which a person can apply for the purchase and storage of weapons, change the storage of storage, carry out updating of data and carry out other mandatory procedures, said Bondarenko. The register will contain information about the unit of weapons, its registration number, a sample of a shot ball, as well as a name of the person, date and place of birth, photo.

According to the official, when the Ministry of Internal Affairs will introduce a register in industrial operation, the Ministry will receive a certificate of protection of the system from unauthorized access - the so -called certificate of compliance with a comprehensive information security system issued by the State Secretariat.
