Separately referred to the financing of Ukrainian production of drones, including long -range and interceptors, as well as the possibilities of Purl's Program on the purchase of US weapons for Ukraine. Germany was one of the first in Europe to join it and has already allocated $ 500 million. The President and Vicecanzler have paid special attention to diplomatic efforts for peace, strengthening sanctions against Russia and security guarantees.

Appropriate diplomatic work is ongoing, in particular at the level of national security advisers. Ukraine expects that Germany will be among the leaders in the development and implementation of security guarantees. “We need safety in the sky and at sea, not only on earth. So there are many things. We are working on it, ”Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

The head of state also stressed that one of the key elements of the future security architecture is a strong Ukrainian army, which requires financial support, development of arms production and training of the military. The parties discussed the continuation and expansion of training programs for Ukrainian defenders in Germany. Lars Clingbil noted that there have now been just discussions about security guarantees.

It is important that the United States of America gave a clear signal about their readiness to participate in them. “It is now about understanding what it should be. That is, there should be a certain package that guarantees that Russia will not attack again. For the Russian Federation to be afraid to attack Ukraine. And we must talk about it, ”Vicecanzler said.
