President

It is a war for the right to exist for our country, for the dignity for our people and for every nation who seeks its fate - the appeal of the President of Ukraine on the second anniversary of the liberation of Kyiv region from Russian occupiers

Glory to Ukraine! Dear Ukrainians, Ukrainians! And everyone who is with Ukraine! Two years ago, the whole world saw the true meaning of our battle here in Ukraine. Everyone saw for whom it was then, unfortunately, simply "another war". They saw that it was for the war. That Ukraine protects not only its state border and sovereignty. For us, it is a war for the protection of Ukraine and everything that makes people people. That is why in this war - global importance.

It is a war for the right to exist for our country and at the same time for the right to live for everyone. For dignity for our people and for every nation who seeks their fate. This is a war for no one to dare to become a beast for others. When our warriors expelled Russia from Bucha, from Irpen, from Borodyanka, from all over Kyiv region, and then from Sumy region, from Chernihiv region, everyone was able to see that it was not only Ukrainian courage and weapon, but also human morality.

The Ukrainians began to return a normal life everywhere, where Russia brought death and abuse, looting and sadism. And our people whose bodies were on the streets of Bucha were shown by the invaders that no one in the world could stay away from this battle. It is here that in Ukraine, protecting our people, our lives, our country, humanity wins. In order to start such aggression against others, Russia initially destroyed morality and made violence and hatred by its ideology.

Such systems do not stop just like that. The power stops them. The unity stops them. Determination and understanding of what they want to destroy. I am proud of everyone and everyone who devotes their lives to the life of all our Ukraine. I thank everyone in the world who really helps us. And let the whole world never forget what price this battle is given and what evil we stop here on our earth. I ask now to honor the memory of all our people whose lives were taken by the occupiers. Thank you.
