On the second anniversary of the liberation of the Kyiv region from the Russian invaders, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky honored the memory of Ukrainians who were killed by the invaders during the occupation of the Buchan community. The head of state installed a lamp to the wall of memory near the Church of the Apostle Andrew the First Called and All Saints in Bucha. The memory wall consists of several ceilings, each of which - plates with the carved names of the dead.

Currently, the memorial contains 509 civilian names who have been identified. Some plates are still nameless. The President and the other attendees honored the memory of the dead moment of silence. Together with Volodymyr Zelensky, the Presidential Office Head Andriy Yermak, Prime Minister Denis Shmigal, Verkhovna Rada Chairman Ruslan Stefanchuk, ambassadors of foreign states and heads of foreign missions and representative offices of international organizations, accredited in Ukraine.

The temple of all the holy land of the Ukrainian, whose parish belongs to the Diocese of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, during the Russian occupation in March 2022 became a symbol of the sustainability and indomitability of Buchi residents. On its territory is a mass grave, from which 116 bodies of the city were exhumed after the liberation of the Kyiv region. Subsequently, they were transferred to the cemetery. The Russian army entered Bucha on February 27, 2022.
