The Russians have put nearly 30 dynamic protection modules on the D-30 gun, showing photos from social networks. In this way, they hope to protect the body and muzzle from the discharges of Ukrainian hexacopters. The military of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation is trying to protect the D-30 guns from the strikes of Ukrainian drones, so they attached external protection to them. They cannot send them to the rear so that protective structures are adjusted there in industrial conditions.

Therefore, they do this on their own, not far from the front line. The complaints of the Russians about drones and possible protection are referred to in the Telegram-channel of the Russian military observer. The Russian posted a photo with three perspectives of howitzers D-30. In the photo you can see that artillerymen protect the device with metal grilles, plates and modules of dynamic protection "Contact-1". He called the result "antitrone shell".

In his opinion, this will help against the "hexacopters of the Armed Forces". The area where they invented this method of protection - somewhere in the southern direction, is reported in the post.
