The DPRK aircraft for the first time in three years arrived in Russia: the media found out the reason

The North Korean plane landed in Vladivostok, which, according to journalists, was empty. On Friday, August 25, a plane from North Korea arrived in the Far Eastern Russian city of Vladivostok. About it writes the South Korean edition of Yonhap. It is reported that it was the first flight of the North Korean National Airline Air Koryo in the Russian Federation for the last three years. The cause of such a long break was the Covid-19 pandemic.

According to journalists, the plane that landed in the Russian Federation was empty. The airport staff refused to comment on the flight, but one person said that North Korea probably returned home to their citizens who remained in the Russian Federation due to the closure of the border. According to the authors of the publication, North Korea suspended the TU-240 flights Air Koryo from February 2020 due to public health problems through the Covid-19 pandemic.

This flight was the only air connection that connects the Russian Federation and the DPRK. This week, Pyongyang also resumed direct commercial flights with China. We will remind, on August 24, the Minister of Defense of the DPRK Kan Son said to us that North Korea would "strengthen" friendship with the Russian Federation, because it allegedly wages the "war of justice" against Ukraine.
