The US and the EU should impose more stringent sanctions against the Russian Fed...

Putin's handshake no longer "black label": the political scientist explained why the event loses the Russian Federation

The US and the EU should impose more stringent sanctions against the Russian Federation and the countries that help Putin, otherwise the impunity of relations plays only on the Kremlin's hand, according to the international expert in the international Maxim Nesvitaylov.

Vladimir Putin's visit to the UAE can be called not so much the victory of the Russian Federation as the geopolitical defeat of the event, because the Arab countries see that there are no powerful, much more effective sanctions from the EC, so there is no fear of establishing useful ties or signing contracts with the country -Agressor. The political scientist, expert-international Maxim Nesvitaylov told this in an interview with focus.

The Eastern countries simply look at the example of Erdogan or Orban, who, despite condemning the words from the EU, did not receive any sanctions for their ties with Putin, - says the expert. - Although the Ukrainian agricultural market is important for the Arab countries, but the ratio of benefits that can be obtained from us or the huge resource base of the Russian Federation will not be in our favor.

If the event would have been pressed as possible on Russia by Putin's international isolation would not end, and instead we see the opposite, the expert said. Moreover, the West does not impose any sanctions against countries that help the Russian Federation to circumvent sanctions. And here it is also influenced by 2024, which is the year of global elections, so the leadership of the countries is concentrated more on itself than on geopolitical challenges, - emphasizes Maxim Nesvitaylov.

- Although the issue of Ukraine is still popular, politicians are trying to play exclusively internal agenda on the eve of elections. According to the international expert, relations with Putin remain toxic, but it is no longer a "black label" as it was a few months ago. Then it was difficult to imagine that after the so -called "rebellion of Prigogine", someone considered Putin strong. But the enemy learns from his mistakes and made effective conclusions, - says the expert.

- Most analysts agree that Putin has strengthened his power even more and actively puts the whole country on military rails, and that another third budget plans to spend on war. All these challenges from the Russian Federation by the US Congress fail by Ukraine's regular assistance, says the political scientist, because there begins the phase of the election campaign.

And since European partners operate with a look at the United States and see their confusion and lack of concentration in Ukraine, they themselves begin to think that they are being taken care of too much by our country, the political scientist sums up. The complete release of the conversation with Maxim Nesvitaylov will soon be posted on the Focus YouTube channel. Earlier, Focus said that Leonid Kuchma considers it unrealistic that Vladimir Putin would go to peace talks about Ukraine.
