A briefing for foreign diplomats on sancing policy against Russia was held at the President's office

Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Igor Zhovkva and Advisor - Presidential Commissioner for sanction policy Vladislav Vlasyuk conducted a briefing dedicated to sanctions against the Russian Federation, for heads and other representatives of the embassies in Ukraine. The meeting was attended by diplomats from the United Kingdom, Denmark, the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, France, Sweden, Japan and the European Union.

Igor Zhovkva spoke about the consequences of Russian blows in Ukrainian cities and villages, including the shelling of Sumy, which took away the lives of 35 people. He thanked for the support of Ukraine and the entire Ukrainian people and maintaining pressure on Russia for the war it solved.   “We need help with specific things in the form of air defense systems to protect against ballistic missiles and sanction pressure.

While Russian aggression is ongoing, there should be no weakening of sanctions, ”said the Deputy Head of the Presidential Office.   Vladislav Vlasyuk informed about the foreign components found in Russian weapons and the impact of sanctions imposed on the possibilities of Russia, in particular about the effectiveness of restrictions on gas and metallurgical sectors, cryptocurrency transactions.

He noted that sanctions against the shadow tanker fleet of the Russian Federation were also in place, as evidenced by the report of detention of ships. Work in this direction will continue.   “The seventeenth package of sanctions is necessary to put Russia in a more difficult position and have more levers of influencing negotiations.

The restraint of the potential of the Russian military industry through sanctions should be a component of the plan of strengthening European security, ” - said the adviser - the Presidential Commissioner for sanctions policy. Vladislav Vlasyuk also thanked the non -governmental organizations for their assistance in this matter.
