Made in two months: the Armed Forces received 18 Bogdan's SAU, which was financed by Denmark

According to the head of the Ministry of Defense of Denmark Trolsa Lund Poulsen, it was the first agreement that his country entered into the production of Ukrainian artillery systems. The forces of Ukraine's defense have already received 18 self -propelled artillery installations "Bohdan", the production of which was financed by Denmark in July. The installations were made in two months. This was reported in the Danish Ministry of Defense.

The head of the country's defense department Trols Lund Polesen made a relevant statement during a speech on the Yalta European Strategy (YES). Polesen visited Ukraine in March 2024. Then the main request was the increase in weapons production - rockets, drones and artillery. "It was the first agreement we concluded.

In July, we filed an order [Ukrainian manufacturers] for the production of 18 Bogdan artillery systems, and this weekend they were already handed over to the Ukrainian Armed Forces," he said. According to Danish Minister, the production of weapons in Ukraine is much cheaper than its purchase in the Western countries. The external strategic industry Alexander Kamyshyn noted that every Ukrainian enterprise could produce more weapons. The only thing that requires is enough funding.

Bogdan's SAU is a 155 mm self -propelled artillery installation, this is consistent with NATO standards. Crew - five people, maximum speed - up to 80 km/h, maximum firing range - up to 60 km. Production started in 2015 at the Kramatorsk Plant of heavy machine tools. For the first time, howitzers were used in 2022 during the fighting for the island of Snake. In 2023, she officially adopted the Armed Forces.
