Armed "to teeth": Israeli Air Force equipped their F-16 with an unusual set of weapons

Under the wings of Israeli F-16 housed four JDAM bombs of 910 kg each, as well as the air-air-air rockets and an additional fuel tank. A picture of the F-16 F-16 Air Force fighter appeared on the network, which was equipped with a unique set of weapons. As reported on January 9 by Bulgarian Militis, it is So, in the photo you can see an unusual set of damage-on the pylons under the wings of a multi-purpose fighter there are four bombs GBU-31 JDAM, 910 kg each.

Python-4/5 is installed at other suspension nodes. Additionally, two AIM-20C rockets of AMraam series were placed, and a 300-halon fuel tank was installed to increase the flight range. "The time when this photo was taken was unknown, but a huge assortment of weapons indicates that it was likely to be done shortly before the fighter went to apply air strikes on the background .

It was noted that the main type of weapons, taking into account the mission, was the GBU-31 aircraft, upgraded by the JDAM kit, which turns them into controlled ammunition, significantly increasing the flight range. Experts also drew attention to the version of the aircraft itself. In this case, it is a modernized version of the standard F-16C-F-16 C/I, also known as F-16C Block 50/52. It was designed to improve the capabilities of the aircraft in the missions of "Air-Air" and "Air Earth".

The aircraft of this modification are equipped with an advanced radar system An/APG-68 [v] 9, which provides a greater range, higher resolution and ability to track more goals at the same time than the RLS of the standard F-16C. Another significant difference is the front of the F-16 c/i, which expands its capabilities in a fighting environment. In addition, the fighter has an advanced engine-it is either General Electric F110-GE-129 or Pratt & Whitney F100-PW-229.
