HIMARS Set up the range of gmlrs rockets shot: Poles have already decided to buy them

Previously, this class of rockets could hit the targets up to 85 km away. In addition to high range, GMLRS-ER missiles will have an advanced alternative warhead with a new guidance system. The Lockheed Martin Corporation has announced a GMLRS-ER rocket test that overcame a 150 km distance. This is the highest flight range, which was still reached by a rocket of this type, reported on September 15, the Polish edition of Defense 24. The tests were conducted at the American White Sands training ground.

According to the company, the upgraded rocket has reached the given guidance and trajectory parameters, as well as integration with the HIMARS system. It is reported that earlier rockets of this class could affect the targets at a distance of 85 km, but now, given the tests, it is planned to launch GMLRS-ER into mass production. Increasing firing range is not the only direction of developing GMLRS missiles.

Views note that the missiles have an INS/GPS missile and have a fragmentary charges and a cassette fighting part. But Pentagon plans to introduce a new advanced alternative warhead with a new guidance system and extended resistance to armored goals to completely replace cape warriors. It is also reported that Poland has already decided to buy these missiles as part of the Homar-A program, which provides for the purchase of up to 486 Himars starting installations.
