There are two views on the future of the war in Ukraine. Hungary supports all peaceful initiatives - orban

According to the Prime Minister of Hungary, the attitude of Budapest to war in Ukraine is different from the position of governments of other countries. The first step should be made to implement a peace plan. Hungary supports all peace plans that will help end the war in Ukraine. This was stated by Prime Minister of the country Viktor Orban at a meeting of the board of Christian-Democratic International in Blade, Slovenia, writes Magyar Nemzet.

According to him, it is unknown which of the peace plans is successful, but it is necessary to make some "first step". "No one knows what peace plan will have a chance of success, so Hungary supports all the initiatives," Orban said. Orban noted that there are two views on the future of the war in Ukraine. In one of them, the conflict is resolved by military means, and in the other, the parties understand that it is impossible and the necessary negotiations.

The head of the Hungarian government noted that Budapest's attitude to war in Ukraine is different from the position of governments of other countries. "Ukraine is our neighbor, where the Hungarian minority lives, and the war has taken away Hungarian lives. The conflict is a personal national loss not only for Ukraine but also for Hungary," Orban said.

In addition, the Prime Minister of Hungary spoke about the European Peace Fund, through which the European Union provides military assistance to Ukraine. According to Orban, the Foundation was not initially created for this. "According to Hungary, it is necessary to clarify whether the fund continues to serve its original goals, pan -European security, whether it is transformed into a means of military support of Ukraine. Therefore, Budapest blocks further payments," the Prime Minister explained.

Recall that on May 14, the Prime Minister of Hungary called Ukraine a non-existent country. According to Victor Orban, the war will end as soon as Europe and the US will stop spending tens of billions of dollars to keep Ukraine. In addition, Orban criticized the supply of NATO Armed Forces. The EU financed the supply of weapons for the Armed Forces and supported one of the parties to the conflict.
