Russian T-80bm at the factory are equipped with a zip module to protect against UAV

The system is designed for armor. According to the developers, it is able to block two frequencies in the range of 600 to 6200 MHz. The new T-80BVM Tanks Party of 2023, which comes into service from the Russian army from the plant, is equipped with complexes of UAV obstacles "ZIP". According to the specification, the device is allegedly capable of blocking two frequencies in the range from 600 to 6200 MHz. On August 19, the Telegram-channel "Voenny Zadomizer" reported.

The leading channel has increased the screenshot from the video report from Omsktransmash, where modernized T-80BM tanks are produced. On the frame you can see a device located on the top of the protective structure from drones, the so -called "barbecue". The post says that it is a ZIP device, whose developers are the Scientific and Production Center of Raztsi from St. Petersburg.

The developer's website states that "ZIP" is a mobile dual -channel universal module that is designed for obstacles to unmanned vehicles. It is based on an antenna RKIS development system with a wide range of frequencies, which overlaps the entire range of current control channels and dumping of telemetry used in UAVs. The complex can be operated in different weather conditions and is intended for installation for different equipment.

To do this, the device has magnetic fastenings and vibrationporas designed to extinguish vibration from the body to the body. It should be noted that this complex has been illuminated in Russian sources recently. Yes, TASS reported on April 4 that ZIP was presented at the exhibition "Exponentracy" in St. Petersburg, where Rosgvardia representatives were interested in the development.

It is noteworthy that the CEO of the Development Company Veronica Bai Baius reported to reporters that the Armians suggested "to carry out official testing" of the system, which may indicate the absence of its comprehensive and careful tests.
