A few minutes later, a series of explosions was heard in the Dzhankoy area. At midnight, the "Crimean Veter" reported that, according to preliminary information, as a result of the attack of drones in the Crimea, there is an entry in the airfield in Dzhanka.
Publik also published footage of the night attack in the Crimea. Shortly afterwards, the explosions also thickened in Cape Chauda: Russian air defense was actively working there. The attack on the Crimea continued after 01:00. Repeated sounds of explosions were heard by Kerch residents. The local occupation authorities have not reported the consequences of the attack on the Crimea. However, the Russian Ministry of Defense noted that only 1 drone was destroyed in the sky above the occupied peninsula.
Dzhankoy is a military air base operated by the Navy of Russia as part of the Black Sea Fleet and is located near the city of Dzhankoy. Prior to the Russian occupation in 2014, the airport was a military and later a civilian airport. In 1999, Dzhankoy was classified as an international airport. Since the Russian occupation of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, it has been used in particular for military purposes in the war with Ukraine.
