"For peace at home": Tymoschuk wanted Ukraine to sit at a table of negotiations with Russia

Tymoschuk stressed that he would not allow himself to be used for "political manipulations", because for him a reputation in football "more than a word". Former Ukrainian footballer Anatoly Tymoschuk said that Russia and Ukraine wants to sit at the talk table and "find consensus" because he "stands for peace". The relevant statement of the football player was published by the Sports Arbitration Court (CAS). "I am acting for peace at home.

I want all parties to sit down at the negotiation table and find a consensus that resumes peace. If the committee considers my removal, deprivation of regalia and coaching license, will help restore peace - I am ready to give up everything on my own," - The statement says. Tymoschuk also emphasized that as a professional athlete, for whom "more than the word" reputation in football "will not allow him to be" used for political manipulations ".

It should be noted that these statements from Tymoschuk were heard after the Ukrainian Football Association (UAF) crossed Tymoschuk from the history of Ukrainian football, since he did not stop working at the Zenith's coaching staff after a full -scale invasion of the Russian Federation and in no way condemned the state -Agressor. Tymoschuk worked as an assistant of the head coach at the Zenita coaching staff since 2017 and stayed there after February 24, 2022.

For this, the UAF deprived him of all the titles, awards, honorary titles, coaching license and formerly forbade football activities in the territory of Ukraine. Tymoshchuk initially tried to regain all the titles from the UAF Appellate Committee, but lost. After that, the Sports Arbitration Court, which made a decision in favor of the football player, took up for consideration.
