Representatives of the KVERTUS, Piranha Tech and Dandelic Devices manufacturer have told focus what technologies are now being suited to the military at the front and which can change the course of war in Ukraine. Yaroslav Filimonov, CEO of Ukrainian company Kvertus, which produces radio electronic fighting, says that the situation with the HRS in Ukraine is in general.

Drones in the third year of a full -scale war will continue to reign in the sky, and the means of counteracting the forces of defense are not enough, it takes several times more means than it is now. The tasks that are performed with the help of drones are one of the priority, aircraft becomes more, new types appear.

"The main threat now is FPV-arose, the so-called drones-Kamikadze, but not only they are, because there are still reconnaissance drones, drones that perform ammunition discharges, drones . This applies to all equipment, that is, all jeeps, pickups that go to the front through volunteers, all that is centrally supplied by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard, the border guards and so on.

Unfortunately, no complex of Reb can protect the fighters on the battlefield 100 %, but it is better to protect it than its absence. R&D (research and development) are funded by the state only partially thanks to clusters such as Brave1 or grants. However, Anatoly Khrapchynsky calls for a system such as the American Agency for advanced defense research projects (Darpa), which would be able to systematize, analyze and predict any weapon on the collision line.

"We are constantly in close contact with representatives of the electronic struggle of all troops. Russia does not take quality, but quantity. Now the Russian army has many remedies on the line of collision, which prevents the defense forces from performing combat missions. In Russia, it is not possible to develop and produce their chips, so they must somehow produce electronics of foreign production. Second, engineers are limited by the frequencies of chip and antennas. In his opinion, there will be no technological breakthroughs in the field of the IP, because the main technologies were opened last year, but technological "landslides" can take place, as they have called them. For example, 9 months of war, both parties used 868-915 MHz for FPV.

Then there was a "technological shift" up to 950-980 MHz in the direction of increase and up to 730 in the direction of decrease in frequency. "Because of this, the Rebi could no longer create an interference. The technological shift happened, we adapted to the changes, too, because the transition happened not only on their side, but also ours. I know that the Armed Forces of the 730th frequency was used in three30 months after the start of a full-scale war.

Then there will be nowhere, and the next way is to replace the iron for the communication system. A great threat to Ukraine is posed by reconnaissance drones of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, such as "Orlan", Zala and SuperCam. The problem is that these UAVs fly very high, and even if they are able to inflame them in the sky, often there is nothing to neutralize. On the Ukrainian side, a turning point can be a new technology from Kvertus, which Yaroslav Filimonov told about focus.

It does not suppress the drone signals with "white noise", as 95% of all remedies of HR, but affect the communication protocol, which is not interference with signal transmission. "We are testing this new technology to see what it gives the results at what distance. Logic and algorithms in this technology are laid exactly that you can fight against the listed high -rise drones of the wing type. Not as terrible as the drone that gives it.

This will greatly strengthen our position and add capacity in combat missions. Anatoly Khrapchinsky says that in the fight against the reconnaissance drones of the Russian Federation should not rely exclusively on the means of radio electronic struggle, because it is only an auxiliary element. They need to use several types of detection, such as sound, visual and classic radar. All classic radar systems that were built before the war are mostly designed for great goals with high speeds.

"Therefore, you need to create a separate direction of radar: low -dimensional radar field. It will identify goals that are inconspicuous in the plane or fly at low speed," he suggested. Even after detection, the military decides whether to switch on the electronic wrestling, suppressing certain opportunities for drone to lose control. Sometimes UAV-reconnaissance should be destroyed physically with a small gun or missile or shock FPV, as is increasingly done lately.

Ukraine cannot spend expensive missiles of Western air defense systems against a regular reconnaissance drone, so there was a niche that needs to be filled. The Armed Forces requires inexpensive missiles capable of destroying such an aerial target or special FPV-pions. "All this needs to be translated into automatic mode, because in fact our mobile groups do incredibly work, but every serviceman who stands behind a gun or machine gun Browning becomes a ballistic calculator.

Yaroslav Filimonov suggests that soon a "gamechair" in the war in Ukraine can be UAVs with machine vision, which automatically focus on a certain object and follow it even when they lose their connection with the operator.

Work on such drones is done on both sides, it is a very attractive technology that increases the edge of the drone work and the likelihood that it will fly to its goal, but the phenomenon is very far from being called it mass. "While these are isolated cases, technology is tested, information is collected and goes to revision. It can be massive potentially, which is why we are preparing for this," the expert says.

Drones with machine vision can be overcome, because they are now fixed for the target no further than 300 meters, more often than 200 meters. Such drones should be "stuffing" with the means of the Reb earlier-for 400-500 meters, and then they will simply not reach the area where they can glow to any objects.

"We are also working on the same technology that will interfere with machine giving, but I am not ready to announce here yet, because there are some hypotheses that we now check and confirm in this direction," Yaroslav Filimon admitted. A few more times in Ukraine, Russian drones with a cable coil, which is unwound 10 kilometers, have been observed. Kvertus believes that they can also be a problem for Ukraine.

Against them, the powerless Reb, because the whole flow of data, telemetry and electricity are transmitted through the cable, so you will not interfere or suppress them. "If this phenomenon is massive, then you will need to think at all of something else, perhaps on some impulse weapon, which will simply suppress all electronics and turn off the appliance, but it is a difficult technological solution that in the current conditions to work effectively, should ride.
