Russians send fake payments for gas to Ukrainians: what is happening (photo)

Naftogaz warns their clients about the new information campaign of Russians, in which they deceive Ukrainians, offering them a discount for gas. Some Ukrainians send payments for gas with mistakes. In particular, there are clients whose documents indicate the reduced amounts for payment. About it reports on its page on the social network Facebook company "Naftogaz".

It is noted that the payments from Naftogaz are sent by the Russians within the framework of information and psychological special operations. It is easy to recognize the fake: on the payments of "home -made" additional rows for complaints. That is, clients are invited to complain about a "collaborator" or report to citizens who evade service in the army. For this, Ukrainians promise a discount for gas.

Naftogaz also showed what the payments are: since May 2023, clients of many Ukrainian "Gaszutians" have been served by the supplier of the last hope of Naftogaz. Changes touched clients of such companies as: because of this, many Ukrainians have a very reasonable question: who to pay for gas bills and what to do if the payment was made before the supplier is changed.

The lawyer of the Kasyanenko and partners Dmitry Kasyanenko told Focus that theoretically the gas supplier should notify the consumer in writing about the termination of the contract 30 days before the expected date of termination. "But in the conditions of war and the fact that suppliers may not expect that the Cabinet would decide on the need to apply the procedure of" supplier of the last hope "from May 1, 2022, all consumers learned about it by receiving payments," he explained.

Meanwhile, Naftogaz is said to have customers contact previous suppliers. Lawyers also agree with the company - they note that it is worth trying first and foremost to regulate the return of the amount paid to the old supplier.
