Compensation for the war -destroyed housing: whether they will pay Ukrainians for independent repair

The Verkhovna Rada assures that the state does not plan to leave the Ukrainians who have made repairs at their own expense. But to pay for compensation citizens, it is necessary to change the current legislation. Ukrainians who decided not to wait for payments from the state and independently repaired the damaged housing as a result of the war will receive public money after a clear mechanism is approved.

This was announced on July 25 by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on the Organization of State Authorities, Local Self -Government, Regional Development and Urban Planning Elena Shuliak on July 25. According to her, the authorities are not going to leave without the money of Ukrainians who spent their own funds on the repair of housing. But in order to pay people money, it is necessary to change the basic law that has introduced a mechanism for compensation for damaged housing.

"I am convinced that the government, together with the Ministry of Reconstruction and the Ministry of Digital Transformation, will make appropriate decisions so that Ukrainians who spend their own funds on housing repair should be able to get compensation through the" action "and a register of damaged and destroyed housing," she explained. She noted that there is no procedure at the moment, how to pay money for such Ukrainians. But, according to Elena Shuliak, a fair formula will be found.

"Whether it will be necessary to show confirmed costs whether it will be checks, whether it will be contracts, whether it will be an average cost, as is the case under the Equinal Program. I am sure that we will find a fair formula for everyone," Shuliak said . We will remind, recently the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine agreed the procedure for providing state financial aid for repair of damaged housing.

He envisages that citizens whose home was damaged during a full -scale war with the Russian Federation will receive state aid for current housing repair. You can do this with the Electric Services. Since spring, this service is available for citizens whose housing has undergone minor damage and has not been repaired.

First of all, the replacement: assistance is first and foremost allocated: also priority in compensation has large families, people with disabilities 1 and 2 of groups, parents of family-type orphanage, orphaned children and deprived of parental care. The maximum amount of assistance under the Equation program is 200 thousand UAH. Earlier, Focus explained which of the Ukrainians could be left without compensation for the fact that Russian invaders destroyed their home.
