Procurement of the Ministry of Defense: the Armed Forces wanted to put poor quality products on 430 million - OGP

The Prosecutor General's office said that the agreement was concluded between the Ministry and the Commercial Society. The fact that the product kits did not meet the standards was proven in court. The Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the field of defense has warned the purchase by the Ministry of Defense of poor product kits for the Armed Forces fighters. The illegality of the provisions of the relevant agreement was proved in court.

This was announced on September 1 by the press service of the Attorney General (OGP). The Defense Ministry had an agreement with an unnamed commercial company to supply product kits for defenders. The party had to consist of a million such sets. The total cost of the order is UAH 430 million. However, as it turned out, the promised kits do not meet the standards of the military and do not provide "proper satisfaction of needs".

"In addition, this Agreement showed the fact of adoption by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine of poor quality products," - emphasized in the office of the Prosecutor General. The court confirmed that the conclusion of the contract was in violation of the requirements of the legislation and contradicts the interests of the state. We will remind, earlier there was a scandal through the purchase of jackets for the Armed Forces by the Ministry of Defense.

It was reported that instead of winter clothes it was purchased summer and imported to Ukraine at an inflated price. The head of the Ministry of Defense Alexei Reznikov, in response to the accusation, suggested a couple, promising to leave his position in case of defeat. On July 25, the head of the SAP Oleksandr Klimenko said that law enforcement officers investigated a large number of cases of corruption in the Ministry of Defense.
