They will be taught in Denmark: the Armed Forces Pilots will start training on the F-16 in August-the media

In addition to Denmark, training centers also plan to open in Romania. Allies of Ukraine hope to see the first results from the beginning of next year. A coalition from 11 countries will start training Ukrainian pilots on F-16 fighters in August. The training will take place in August in Denmark, and the training center will be created in Romania for further preparation of pilots. About it reports Reuters with reference to officials.

According to the newspaper, the acting Minister of Denmark Troels Lund Polsen told reporters that he hopes to see the results from training at the beginning of next year. At the same time, the Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte said that the F-16 supplies to Ukraine requires US approval. "We have an American" yes "for training, the next step, of course, should be American" yes "for the direct use of the F-16 on the battlefield with Ukrainian pilots. This is the next step," Rutte said.

In June, the Western Coalition regarded Romania as possible for the training of Ukrainian pilots on F-16 fighters. The country's Defense Ministry did not confirm, but did not refute the information that such negotiations were being conducted. In July, the High Romanian Defense Council (CSAT), headed by President Klaus Johannis, approved the creation of a F-16 pilot training center in the country.

Initially, they plan to teach Romanian pilots on the basis, and then open doors for pilots from NATO countries and allies of the Alliance, in particular for Ukraine. Denmark was declared about the readiness to carry out training for Ukrainian pilots on F-16 fighters. The plan developed with the Netherlands assumed that training would take place on the Danish Base of the Air Force Skrudstrup in Southern Yutland, where fighter jets are located.

It is known that NATO members Denmark and the Netherlands lead the efforts of the International Coalition to prepare pilots and auxiliary personnel, service aircraft and supply F-16 to Ukraine. At the end of June, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba reported that training for Ukrainian pilots had to begin in the first month of summer, but due to incorrect calculations, they moved.
