Missiles and ammunition: The United States is preparing a $ 425 million military aid package to Ukraine - the media

According to journalists, the package will not include additional ATACMS missiles, but ammunition for Nassams and Himars systems, as well as small arms, will be provided. US Presidential Administration, Joe Baiden, plans to announce on November 3, a package of military assistance to Ukraine worth $ 425 million, which includes missiles and ammunition to fight drones. This was reported on November 2 by Reuters.

According to journalists, it is expected that the package will not include additional ATACMS missiles. According to the Agency's document, the planned assistance package of Ukraine includes laser ammunition for the destruction of Russian drones worth about $ 300 million. Funds for these ammunition are coming from the Program "USAI), which enables the Biden administration to buy weapons in industry rather than use US weapons stocks.

According to officials who spoke on the conditions of anonymity, the rest of the promised weapons worth $ 125 million includes additional ammunition for national promising anti-aircraft missile systems (NASAMS), ammunition for high-mobile artillery missile systems (Himars), 105- and 155-millimeter Tow systems, anti -personnel mines "Claymore", small arms and 12 trucks, according to officials.

The assistance of the United States to Ukraine remains in question because of the election of the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Mike Johnson. Yes, the politician resists President Baiden's call to include money for Ukraine in a major bill on extraordinary expenses.

The US administration has called on the US Congress to continue the legislative procedure for the request submitted by President Biden, which covers the support of Ukraine and Israel, as well as allocation of funds for other significant needs. In addition, on October 31, it was reported that Pentagon Lloyd Austin and State Secretary Anthony Blinken tried to persuade Congress to approve one package of assistance to Ukraine and Israel.

According to them, the help of Kyiv and Jerusalem depend on the promotion of US interests abroad. We will remind, on October 16, US Special Representative Penny Pritzker arrived in Kiev, which was given the authority to check the cost of recovery. The visit took place a month after Kiev received a list of recommended reforms from the United States.
