"Blows can be different": will Russia arrange a new blackout in Ukraine

According to Ukrenergo's chief dispatcher Vitaliy Zaichenko, the enemy continues to accumulate missiles, so the threat to the infrastructure remains. At the same time, the probability of the accident is still low. No one can guarantee that electricity shutdowns in Ukraine can be avoided. Much depends on the intensity of shocks of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. This was stated by Ukrenergo's chief dispatcher Vitaliy Zaichenko in an interview with Economic Truth.

According to him, the war continues and Russian invaders do not give up terror. Accordingly, on their part, the accumulation of missiles and the danger for critical infrastructure remains. "We see that there is a supply of weapons from North Korea, Iran. It is absolutely impossible to guarantee that there will ", - said Vitaliy Zaichenko. It was separately stated that the enemy continues the hacker attacks on the dispatching center. The Ukrainian side is forced to repel them every day.

Thanks to a powerful cyber defense team, the enemy could not carry out any successful attack. With regard to electricity, consumption continues to increase. This is recorded both from the industry and the civilian population. "Yesterday (interview recorded on January 11, EP) we had another record of consumption since the beginning of the war. This record level we managed to cover thanks to three factors. First - we were restored enough generation. Everything that could be switched on.

", - continues Vitaliy Zaichenko. The second factor is that December was relatively warm and there is a large flow of water by the Dnieper and Desna. On January 11, it was possible to record the maximum in the history of electricity production at hydroelectric power plants. The third factor is bad weather, because because of the frost in one of the days of more than a thousand settlements, they were left without electricity. If not, the deficit could not be covered.
