The Russian Army received the first batch of self -propelled mortars "Drk" on the basis of the armored vehicle

The mortar system has a shooting range up to 6 km and the stated speed of 10 shots per minute. The Russian defensive concern "Rostek" handed over to the Russian troops a party of self -propelled mortars 2C41 "Drk". The press service of the department reports. 82 mm mortars are installed on the armor of the class MRAP "Typhoon-VDV". The Drk mortar system has a maximum shooting range of 6000 meters and a minimum - 100 meters.

The Russian Federation states that the mortar is designed to defeat live power, light armored machinery, to dazzle observation posts and install smoke curtains. It is claimed that mortar can produce up to 10 mines per minute, as well as quickly change the position with the Typhoon-VDV base. The mortar is equipped with a fire control system, which should calculate the data for shooting. Many processes are automated, and preparation for fire is carried out from the inside of the machine.
