A strange story with the exchange of Ukrainian prisoners of war in Hungary raise...

Hungarian manipulations. As Budapest played Russian propaganda in history with Ukrainian prisoners

A strange story with the exchange of Ukrainian prisoners of war in Hungary raises many questions. They are put by Ombudsman Dmitry Lubinets, finding the only possible logical answers of details about Ukrainian prisoners of war in Hungary.

First, Hungary had no authority to negotiate from the Russian Federation on Ukrainian prisoners of war without informing the Ukrainian side! And the situation regarding the transfer of Russia to Hungary 11 Ukrainian prisoners of war is not just surprising, but indignation. Secondly, the only body that has the authority to raise the release or exchange of our prisoners of war is a coordination headquarters on prisoners of war.

However, Ukraine was not informed of the planned transfer of Ukrainian prisoners of war to Hungary. And there were no appeals from the Hungarian side that they are ready to join peace initiatives or contribute to their contacts with the return of Ukrainian prisoners of war. Is it possible to interpret such actions of Hungary as a violation of international humanitarian law and violation of the rights of Ukrainian prisoners of war? In my opinion - definitely so.

Why does Hungary do it? I see this playing Russian propaganda that Ukraine does not want to take away its warrior, which is absolutely false. Yes, the Hungarian authorities allow Russia to show that if there is an initiative, the Russians are ready to give prisoners of war. Yes, as soon as we became aware that our prisoners of war are in Hungary, we began to formally contact the Hungarian authorities.

As the Ombudsman of Ukraine sent a letter to the Ombudsman of Hungary, demanding that within his mandate he would tell in what conditions they live, what attitude to them. I also refer to the Ombudsman Tatiana Moskalkova to understand this situation and answer logical questions.
