"In total, from the beginning of the operation in the territory of Kursk region, our troops with the fights advanced deep into the enemy's defense for 35 kilometers, controlled 1150 square kilometers of territory, 82 settlements," Sirsky said. According to him, Ukrainian fighters repelled three enemy counterattacks and continue offensive actions.
"The search and destruction of the enemy in the settlement of Sudzh and three other settlements is completed in the Kursk region . . . In general, the situation is controlled," Syrsky emphasized. In addition, he reported that the first military commandant was established in the Kursk region. "We are going forward in the Kurshchyna. The military commandant has been created to meet the rule of law, as well as all the needs of the local population," Sirsky wrote in his telegram channel.
Also, according to the Commander -in -Chief of the Armed Forces, the situation in the east and south of Ukraine remains difficult but controlled. "The main forces are focused on preventing the enemy's promotion in the direction of Toretsk and Pokrovsk, the maximum losses and creating favorable conditions for further action," Syrsky emphasized.
