In this case, the Albatross-M5 UAVs are used by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the war against Ukraine. About it writes the international intelligence community InformNapalm with reference to the data obtained by the hackers of the team "Cyber Resistance". Albatros reported that 2017 was founded.
Despite the sanctions that followed the annexation of the Crimea and the invasion of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the Donbas, from 2018 to 2021 the company increased the production of UAV "Albatros-M5" from 5 to 30 units a year, positioning the apparatus as a civil drone. During this time, the manufacturer also collected a client base of at least 60 Russian companies.
The intelligence community indicated that Albatros did not publicly declare their involvement in the war in Ukraine, but the company regularly updates their military presentation about the drones of "Albatros-M5". Judging by the presentation, in 2022-2023 the Russian military tested "Albatros-M5" on the front.
Drones were used by the Border Service of the Russian Federation, the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation, forces of special operations of the Russian Federation and Rosgvardia. Other Albatros presentations have shown how Albatros-M5 corrects artillery to defeat the Ukrainian howitzer M-777. Sony A6000 and Sony RX1R2 cameras for photography and Sony FCB-EH6500 and Sony FCB-EV7500 help to perform aerial photography and adjust Albatros artillery.
On the basis of these devices, "Albatros" produces hyrostabilized UAV suspensions, which can be purchased on the company's website. In addition, the company has cooperated with the Casper Laboratory for the development of the Anti -Superneous Safety System. According to reports, at the end of 2021, antitrone developments were sold to Germany, Greece and Switzerland. The Russians also tried to export their drones to Egypt, India, Iraq and Iraqi Kurdistan, UAE, Syria, Tanzania and Myanmar.
From the correspondence of "Albatros" from the Ministry of Defense Myanmar it follows that "Albatros-M5" was considered as military UAV long before the invasion. "We believe that there is no need to explain that our products belong to dual -use goods (military and civilian), but our cooperation with the armed forces is not subject to disclosure," - said in the draft one of the letters of the company.
The components for electronic schemes by 2021 "Albatros" purchased in Malaysia, Korea, Japan and China. According to hackers, the company also used Savox servos (Sweden-China), engines and engine controls Scorpion (USA-China), RFDesign radio channels and Austral Aeronaut (Germany) air screws. Other UAV components were also made in Malaysia, China, Korea, Singapore, Australia, Sweden and Switzerland.
According to the authors of the material, initially "Albatros" used raw materials of Russian and German production, but in early 2022 he completely switched to Russian. At the same time, a filler of sandvit carbon, made in Germany, was still used. Hackers also provided some evidence of Albatros' involvement in Ukraine. Thus, from the internal documentation of the company it follows that the director Alexei Florov and Chief Engineer Konstantin Spiridonov in November 2022 visited Iran.
The authors of the article believe that this trip was associated with the localization of UAV production in the Russian Federation.
Another proof is Alexei Florov's letter of October 17, 2023 to the head of the Institute of Transport equipment and management systems of the Russian University of Transport, which states that Konstantin Spiridonov needs a deferral from the session, as it provides assistance from the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the area of the so -called "special military operation ".
The investigation also found that "Albatros" uses NVIDIA Jetson microcomputers to recognize objects based on a neural network. Judging by Alexei Florov's mail, the cooperation with the NVIDIA corporation has been ongoing since 2016 and has not stopped after the start of a full -scale war in Ukraine or after the introduction of Western sanctions against Albatros.
Another letter to Alexei Florov of November 24, 2023 shows that in the Russian Federation still use the internal combustion engines of the Japanese manufacturer SAITO. As these engines got into the warehouse in Alabuga and for what purposes the engines were transferred to Alexei Florov, is still unknown. The authors of the publication do not rule out that it could be a pre -war stock and that Russians want to use them as samples for copying.
We will remind, earlier hackers found that the Russian company "Kaspersky Laboratory" closely cooperates with the enterprise "Albatros". According to the documents, Albatros planned to equip the UAV with a "smart" system for adjusting artillery, and soon received some software solution from Kaspersky Lab. Albatros has also reported that Albatros M5 drones produce up to 30 drones on a monthly basis. According to the Russian media, the main task of the drone is to determine the goal and strike it.
