Another failure of Russia. Why didn't the new miracle-warrant of the Tos-2 work

Russia boasted on the whole world with its revolutionary flamethrower system of the Tos-2. But in fact, as the military enlightener Alexander Kovalenko shows, another failure came out, incompatible with reality in October 2023 on Russian TV channels widely advertised the heavy flamethrowing system of Tos-2 "Tosochka", which has no analogues in the world, on a wheel chassis, which was to replace archaic replace Tos-1a "SolnPepke".

They even sent it, allegedly, to the database zone to Ukraine for tests, so to speak, in real combat conditions. But after the propaganda ecstasy, the period of silence, or more precisely, is aware and acceptance that the Tos-2 is another "hat" from the under-victims. It is known that the Solnacek Tos-1A had only one indisputable plus-the destructive power of the thermobaric jet shells Mo. 1. 01. 04m. Everything else is total disadvantages.

Tos-2 had to exclude the disadvantages of Tos-1A, but it turned out a little different. More precisely, it is not the way I wanted to be nookybulin. The main difference between the ToS-2 from the ToS-1A became thermobaric jet shells of a new type with a range of targets up to 20 km. But these shells reduced the weight of the fighting part to increase the flight range and have a smaller caliber than Mo. 1. 01. 04m. And this has led to a number of negative consequences.

First-the projectile became less powerful. Secondly, it is not unified, and it can only be applied to the TOS-2. Third, due to the increase in flight range, the accuracy of the guidance worsened, despite the replacement of artillery rad 1D14, which survived itself, was applied to the Tos-1A and allowed to cite "SolnPepice" only in the mode of direct guidance that made the car that made it Vulnerable to strokes. In addition, new assembly lines are needed for the production of new jet shells.

So far, the assembly is only small -scale, which provides the needs of the test samples. But no less issues caused the cheaper wheel chassis Ural-63706 Tornado-U, which significantly limits the possibility of using this system, as it increases its vulnerability from the soil. And here the oil into the fire poured the recent dandelion of the shell "shell-C1" in Sochi.

The fact that the transfer of the complex, under quite normal road conditions, raised the long-forgotten question of the abduction of KAMAZ-6560 chassis before transportation of such massive objects. And nothing surprise.
