According to journalists, in local telegrams, energy channels provide information that previously Russian troops had drove a large number of military equipment into the NPP. Energoatom also reported the intention of the invaders to place explosives in the machine halls of power units. According to the residents of the city, the fire on the territory of the station is conducted from the barrel and jet artillery.
The invaders do not allow the station employees to leave its territory, while employees of the Russian enterprise "Rosatom" are allegedly evacuated. Those who remain in the territory of the object move there in gas masks and in chemical costumes, the publication writes. Journalists, citing unconfirmed data, reported two strikes on the territory of Zaporizhzhya NPP. The locals suggested that the occupiers wanted to prepare the soil for connecting the station to the Russian electrical network.
The shelling of the city of Nikopol from the station is also reported. Recall that on July 6, WSJ wrote that the Russian army transforms a strategic object into its military base and uses the station as a shield. On July 15, the director of "Energoatom" Petro Kotin said that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation installed missile complexes in the territory of Zaporizhzhya NPP and fired Nikopol.
