"War on our continent": Denmark will hand over all its artillery to Ukraine

Denmark Prime Minister Matte Fredrixen noted that Europeans should not be expected until the crisis is resolved with the approval of funding from US supplies for the Armed Forces. Denmark Prime Minister Mette Fredrixen has declared his intention to hand over to Ukraine all the artillery of her country. She emphasized the importance of such support and called on other European countries to also provide unused military equipment to Ukraine.

Frederixen stated this during a speech on the 7th Ukrainian Lanch in Munich, Ukrinform reports. "Leaders of Europe often talk about weapons production problems, calling them a reason that does not allow to increase the supply of assistance to Ukraine. However, they now open new defensive enterprises for the future," she stressed, speaking on panel discussion with the participation of five leaders European states.

The head of the Danish Government also emphasized that at the Munich Conference on Security, the need for immediate transfer of the necessary types of weapons to Ukraine was expressed. "We, Denmark, decided to hand over all our artillery to Ukraine. We have weapons, ammunition, air defense systems that we do not yet use. Therefore, sorry, but the question is not only in production. Europe still has military equipment. It must be transferred Ukraine, ”she said.

Matte Fredrixen also stressed that Europeans should not expect a crisis to receive funding for the supply of weapons from the United States for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. "Europe has to protect itself, because it is a war on our continent," she recalled. We will remind, on February 8 it was reported that the EU was called to stop supplying ammunition to other countries except Ukraine. Josep Borrel said that EU member states should suspend export contracts to other non-war states.
