The Foreign Minister of Latvia Edgar Rinkevich called for new sanctions against the Russian Federation and give Ukraine more weapons in response to the announcements of the occupiers of pseudo -referendums on the accession of captured Ukrainian territories. "Most likely, Russia is moving forward with the organization of false" referendums "in the occupied territories of Ukraine, the international community should reject this step, should imitate new sanctions," he wrote in his Twitter.

Video of Rinkevich's Day added that it is necessary to say "no" to Russian blackmail and give Kiev more weapons. "Ukraine has to get more weapons to liberate its territory, we must say no to Russian blackmail," he summarized. On September 20, the Kremlin puppets in the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions also declared referendums on September 23-27.

The same dates of the pseudo -referendum on accession to the Russian Federation were voiced by the occupiers of the Kherson region. Foreign Minister of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba stated that no pseudo -referendums that Russia tries to organize in the captured territories will no longer help.
