According to human rights activists, the Armed Forces of 2022 allegedly used cassette ammunition in the Russians in Izium, which led to victims among civilians. The Ministry of Education of Ukraine deny such accusations. The Human Rights Watch International Human Rights Organization has accused Ukraine's defense forces for prohibited weapons, which caused the death of civilians. This is stated on HRW.

"Missile strokes of Ukrainian cassette ammunition in Russia -controlled districts in the city of Izium and its surroundings in eastern Ukraine in 2022 led to numerous casualties among Ukrainian civilians," the report of July 6 reads. According to the Acting Director of Arms in HRW Mary Verkh, both Russia and Ukraine use cassette ammunition, who "kill civilians and will do so for many years.

" The HRW stated that at least 8 civilians were killed in the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces, and another 15 were injured. However, the total number of casualties can be much greater. "Casetal ammunition is completely forbidden by the Convention on Caste Ammunition, which has been joined by 123 countries, except for Russia and Ukraine," the report reads.

In addition, human rights activists noted that they had contacted the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine for clarifications, but in the department said that at that time the Armed Forces did not use cassette ammunition in Izium and Outskirts. She also stated that the United States should not supply cassette ammunition to Ukraine or any other country because they have been over 20 years old. They can be a danger to civilians even after the war.

According to US officials, such assistance can significantly change the situation at the front. Experts also reported that large quantities of cassette ammunition, which the United States has gradually deduced since 2016, can become a valuable resource for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and assist them in successful counter -offensive.
