Sanctions against Russia and the European integration of Ukraine: Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a conversation with Anthony

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has a telephone conversation with the President of the European Council Anthony. The head of state briefly informed about the course of the peace process and the next steps of Ukraine together with partners. In particular, preparations for continuing negotiations with the Russian side on ceasefire, humanitarian issues, and release of prisoners are ongoing. The President of Ukraine thanked the EU for approval of the 17th Package of Sanctions against Russia.

He stressed that the next one should be even stronger and more powerful, the banking sector and the shadow fleet: not only the ship, but also on the crew that serve them. Anthony Rota noted that it is important to continue the synchronization of all sanctions with partners. He also confirmed that in case of refusal of Russia, stronger sanctions will be applied. Special attention is the opening of negotiating clusters on Ukraine's membership in the EU.
