Compromise solution. The Czech Republic will offer to stop the simplified visa regime with the Russian Federation and Belarus

The Czech Republic, which is presiding on the EU, at a meeting of the Foreign Ministry of the EU next week will propose to completely stop the Simplified Visa Regime Agreement with Russia and Belarus. About it reports Bloomberg with reference to the head of the Czech Foreign Ministry Jan Lipavsky. Russian citizens who go to the EU will have to pay more and withstand additional bureaucracy to obtain a short -term visa, the resource writes.

Video day is said that this is a compromise solution aimed at mitigating the differences between the Member States on how far the restriction should go. Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky argued that a visa ban for Russian citizens could be one of the most effective measures against the Russian Federation.
