Russians will not throw troops from Ukraine for defense of Kursk region - Bloomberg

The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continues the offensive in the east of Ukraine, while trying to reflect the invasion of its territory. The Russian military command decided not to transfer considerable forces from the front line in the Donbass, Ukraine, to Kursk region. In the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, they decided to conduct hostilities on two fronts. This was reported by a source close to the Kremlin, writes Bloomberg.

The first foreign military offensive in Russia after the Second World War jumped by the Kremlin by surprise and forced tens of thousands of people to leave their homes in the Kursk region. Since the operation of the Armed Forces on the territory of the Russian Federation has been going on for the third week, the Russian military is trying hard to organize an effective repel. In the Kremlin, the situation in the Kursk region is commented with extreme caution.

Thus, Volodymyr Putin held a television meeting with ministers and governors of regions on the situation in Kursk, as well as neighboring Belgorod and Bryansk regions. The number of evacuees from Kurschyna was mentioned - about 133 thousand people. But the Russian president did not say that the measures will be taken against the Armed Forces. Meanwhile, the situation in Donetsk becomes critical, journalists say, while the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation slowly moving to Pokrovsk.

Local authorities have ordered the evacuation of civilians from the city this week. They also quote Igor Korotchenko, the editor -in -chief of the National Defense magazine, who stated that "the pressure on the entire front line in Ukraine will continue", and the troops will not be thrown to the Kursk region from there.

Some Russian forces were turned from Ukraine after invasion of the Kursk region, although it was hardly troops from the front line, according to the Washington Institute of War Study. "The Kremlin may not be in a hurry to push Ukrainian forces from the region and instead continue to prioritize its offensive operations in eastern Ukraine," it reads. According to an insider close to the Kremlin, conscripts may be involved in these operations.

Although the Russian authorities promised not to send the constituents to fight in Ukraine, the placement in the Kursk region would not violate this promise. Journalists also quote Ruslan Pukhov, the head of the Moscow Center for Analysis of Strategies and Technology, who claims that Russia would be a "very risky idea" to rely on inexperienced stimuli who are "generally unsuitable for service.

" President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the purpose of the military operation was to create a buffer zone in the Kursk region to protect the border settlements of Ukraine from the attack of Russia. He visited the Sumy region of Ukraine, which borders with the Kursk region, where he met with the Commander -in -Chief of the Armed Forces General Alexander Sirsky. They discussed Russia's promotion in the East, and Sirsky reported steps to strengthen defense near key logistics centers.

We will remind, earlier in WSJ material it was stated that in Moscow there is no panic about the situation in Kursk region. Russian President Vladimir Putin believes that the offensive of Ukraine has no great influence on its broader strategic calculation - to capture the whole Donetsk region, lead to the fall of the Ukrainian authorities and facilitate the path to negotiations that are profitable to Russia. At the same time, the territory in the Kursk region has increased to 1263 square meters.
