Pyongyan and Moscow signed a protocol on expanding cooperation in various fields. The meeting was a continuation of the summit between the leaders of the North Korea and the Russian Federation. On November 15, the Korean People's Democratic Republic and the Russian Federation signed a protocol on expanding cooperation on the results of bilateral negotiations on economics, science and technologies that took place in Pyongyan. This was reported by Yonhap.

"North Korea and Russia have signed a protocol on expansion of cooperation in various industries following the results of bilateral negotiations on economics, science and technologies that took place in Pyongyang," - the message reads. According to the agency, the agreement was signed after two countries held a 10th meeting of the Committee on Cooperation.

Journalists point out that the meeting was a continuation of the summit between the leader of North Korea Kim Cenn and the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin in September 2023. The Russian government delegation, headed by Minister of Natural Resources Alexander Kozlov, arrived in Pyongyan. The meeting discussed measures to "revive and expand multifaceted bilateral exchange and cooperation in various fields.

" Seoul has previously stated that the Committee would probably discuss various issues, ranging from food assistance, economic, logistics cooperation and ending with the departure of North Korean workers to Russia. In addition, ministers of sports of North Korea and Russia held negotiations in Pyongyang and signed an agreement on expansion of exchange and cooperation in the sports sphere for 2024-2026.
