In the context of talking with representatives of the Russian press, he also said that in the Kremlin allegedly heard from high -ranking officials in Washington information that the United States excludes Ukraine's accession to NATO.

He commented on these "rumors", noting that Ukraine should also "have no prospects for" joining the North Atlantic Alliance, as it can create some threats to Russia itself. "And, of course, this is what causes our satisfaction and coincides with our position that Ukraine should not be a member of NATO and should not have the prospects for integration with the North Atlantic Alliance, because it would pose a threat to the national interests of the Russian Federation," Peskov said.

It should be noted that the recently Special Representative of the White House on the Middle East, Steve Witcoff revealed details of negotiations with Russia. According to him, the negotiations discussed an agreement regarding five territories, including security protocols, as well as the issue of NATO - "whether it will be at all" and whether Article 5 will act. However, Vitcoff did not mention that Washington opposed Ukraine's membership in the North Atlantic Alliance.

At the same time, these days, Putin's press secretary said that the Russian side was seeking to "resolve the conflict" and is "open to dialogue", commenting on Donald Trump's desire to receive from the Kremlin a response to a proposal to a potential cease cessation in Ukraine.
