Since the beginning of October 2023, women between the ages of 18 and 60, who have education in medical and pharmaceutical industries, are obliged to put on military records. This process should be completed by December 31, 2026, giving them more than three years to fulfill this requirement. Since the beginning of January 2023, women who have completed medical programs will automatically be subjected to military registration immediately after release.
All women who work in one of these areas are needed on military accounting and are in the age category from 18 to 60 years: Viktor Lyashko notes that this rule is not new and has been in force since 1992. Most of women who work in the medical and pharmaceutical spheres are already on military registration. However, earlier this system was not quite effective, and not all medical women were included in it. They are currently needed that they themselves carry out the registration procedure.
Viktor Lyashko noted that there will be no changes in traveling abroad for women from October 1, 2023. He explained that restrictions to border crossing are applied only to certain categories of government officials and persons who hold certain public positions. That is, this rule can be applied to physicians and pharmacists who occupy state positions in central executive bodies, are People's Deputies or members of local councils.
