Share: The Russian defense company "Gumich RTK" presented its new robotic system "Impulse-Air Defense" at an exhibition in Moscow. The "Impulse-Air Defense" complex is designed to protect against low-flying reconnaissance drones. For this purpose, it was equipped with eight interceptor drones, Defense Blog writes. It is reported that the "Impulse-Air Defense" system operates in the frequency spectrum from 700 MHz to 6200 MHz, which allows it to function in complex electromagnetic environments.

It is part of the broader strategy of the Russian Federation to automate close air defense. According to the publication, air targets are shot down using the kinetic energy of interceptors. Each such drone weighs 1. 35 kilograms and can reach speeds of up to 200 kilometers per hour. The article does not mention the name of the interceptors equipped with the "Impulse-Air Defense" robotic system.

Experts of the "Military" portal believe that we are talking about Russian "Elka" drones, previously seen in the service of the Federal Security Service, which is responsible for the security of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin. We will remind you that the Defense Forces of Ukraine have started to use ground unmanned platforms "Ant-Mini" from the domestic company "Robotized Complexes" on the front line.
