The Russian Federation has admitted that "modernized" SU-57 is in operation in Ukraine: what analysts say

Advanced Russian fighters have received a number of improvements, including improved avionics, improved engines, as well as new coatings and materials to reduce radar. The Russian conglomerate "Joint Aviation Corporation" (UAC) informally confirmed the deployment of Su-57 fighters in the war against Ukraine. According to representatives of the company TASS, it is a modernized machinery that can perform tasks even in conditions of dense air defense of the enemy.

It is noted that the latest Su-57 is used along with the already known aircraft of the Su-34 and Su-35 front aircraft. However, the new fighter differs from these colleagues with advanced equipment and characteristics of low capacity and survivability. On this occasion, the Bulgarian Military Viewer distinguished those changes that were and will be made by Russian engineers in the advanced Russian fighter. It is noted that Su-57 received several important modernizations in 2024.

Key improvements include: from the point of view of specifications, the Su-57 differs from its predecessors with advanced composite materials to reduce the effective scattering surface, the folding nozzles with a rejected thrust vector to increase maneuverability and the internal compartment of the weapon to maintain criticism.

As for avionics, the SU-57 boasts the use of a glass cabin with large multifunctional displays, a nasolomemal display (HMDS), as well as an integrated radio electronic fight system. We will remind, in early June the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported a successful lesion of a multi-purpose fighter of the Russians Su-57, which was in the territory of the airfield "Akhtubinsk" in Astrakhan region.
