Russia confirmed that she was captured by Ukrainian journalist Roshchina

Victoria Roshchyna disappeared on August 3, 2023 during a trip to the occupied territories. Since then, her fate has been completely unknown. Journalist Victoria Roshchyna, who cooperates with "Ukrainian Truth", "Public Radio", "Radio Liberty" and other media, is kept in Russian captivity. The National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NSFU) was informed by Victoria's father Vladimir Roshchin.

"The coordination headquarters on the management of prisoners of war changed the accounting category of Roschina Victoria to" Polon "(confirmed by the aggressor country through the International Committee of the Red Cross)," Roshchin wrote. The NSWU stressed that they demanded the immediate release of Victoria Roshchina and other journalists whom Russia illegally holds in captivity. It should be noted that Victoria Roshchyna disappeared on August 3, 2023 during a trip to the occupied territories.

Since then, her fate has been completely unknown. In March 2022, Victoria Roshchyna was already captured by Russian invaders. In particular, according to journalists, on March 11, Victoria went from Zaporozhye to Mariupol. And the next day the girl stopped communicating. "The journalist was in the temporarily occupied Berdyansk. On March 16, we learned that the day before (probably March 15), Victoria Roshchina detained the FSB of the Russian Federation.

Now nothing is known about her location," Hromadske reported on March 18. The editorial staff said that they tried two days to release the journalist in a non -public way, but it turned out to be a waste of time. On March 21, it became known that Victoria Rochina was released from Russian captivity. Before liberation of Rozhyn, they were forced to record a video on which the girl reported that she was detained in Berdyansk, through which she passed in the humanitarian column to Mariupol.

The girl found photos of military equipment of the Russian Federation while checking the phone. In video, Roschina also stated that she has no claim against Russian servicemen whose actions "have a high probability of keeping her life and health. " "This entry, which became a condition for release, recorded the journalist under pressure from Russian security forces.

The whole truth about the detention and stay in the captivity of Victoria will tell herself in the near future," the journalist's colleagues said. We will remind, on April 20 the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed the Russian propagandist and military correspondent of Semen Eremin. The FPV-Dron dropped a projectile on him, from which the rupture was killed.
