"Pressure": The Kremlin continues to threaten its "reaction" to Ukraine's accession to NATO

According to Dmitry Peskov, the accession of Kiev to the Alliance can have extremely negative consequences for the architecture of European security. The Kremlin stated that Ukraine's possible accession to NATO is allegedly a threat to Russia and will need a response. About it reports the propaganda edition of RIA Novosti with reference to Putin's spokeswoman Dmitry Peskov, according to him, Kyiv seems to be trying to "put pressure" on NATO countries to show solidarity.

"Ukraine's accession to NATO will have very, very negative consequences for Europe's security architecture. Ukraine as a member of NATO will be a threat to Russia, which will require a clear and solid response," he added. It should be reminded that on July 10, after intensive negotiations, the Alliance reached consensus on cancellation of the NATO Membership Plan for Ukraine. The Foreign Minister greeted this decision, which, as he noted, would shorten Ukraine's path to NATO.

It is known that in September 2022, Ukraine applied for an accelerated membership procedure in the Alliance. Earlier, on July 9, Kuleba stated that a number of important decisions were made in NATO membership in NATO. The head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry noted that it was time to make clarity on this issue, and the NATO summit is a good time. He stated that the work in this direction continues and will continue until the last minute of the NATO summit declaration in Vilnius.
