Britain and partners began to track the "shadow fleet" of the Russian Federation with the help of AI - the media

The Nordic Warden operation will allow you to monitor the vessels of the shadow Russian fleet in a number of waters. This mission will also report NATO and its allies of threats to underwater communications against the background of recent sabotages.

A coalition of European countries, led by Britain, has attracted artificial intelligence (AI) to identify possible threats from the Russian Fleet and for threats to underwater cables against the background of incidents that have occurred over the last few months. About it reports Business Insider.

Journalists write that Britain has launched a code named Nordic Wareen, which use AI to evaluate data from several sources, and among the systems involved there are a base of automatic identification of vessels in real time. In general, this operation will allow to "monitor the suspicious vessel" in real time and will make warnings both NATO members and allies about appropriate activity.

According to the UK Minister of Defense John Gili, AI will allow you to control "large" marine areas, using "a relatively" small number of resources. "Nordic Warden will help protect both intentional sabotage acts and from cases of extreme negligence that, as we have seen, have led to damage to submarine cables," the minister said. The media points out that new technology will currently work in the La-Channel, North Sea, Cattegat and Baltic Sea.
