Accuracy 3-5 m, optical guidance: Iran and Russian Federation developed a new Shahd-236-media

According to journalists, the new Dron-Kamikadze has an optical guidance system. The Shahd-236 model resembles its predecessor ShahED-136, but with a modification in the front. In collaboration with Iran, Russia has developed a new UAV, which was released at its own factory and equipped with an advanced optical guidance system. Israel Defense portal writes about it. Last weekend in the Russian Federation presented a model of UAV Shahd-236, which is based on Iranian technologies.

According to the Russian media, the drone is equipped with an optical guidance system. UAVs are probably already produced at the plant in Russia. It is reported that it is a new milestone of Iran-Russian cooperation in the technological sphere of UAV. The presentation of the new drone was also attended by Kremlin head Vladimir Putin, who arrived at the exhibition at the Center for Special Technologies in St. Petersburg.

According to World Defense News, the Shahd-236 model is reminiscent of its predecessor Shahd-136, but with a modification in the front where the optical guidance system is located. The UAV implemented both manual guidance by the operator, and autonomous, the drone can also work in the dark. The accuracy of the impact is from three to five meters. As for production, UAVs may already be produced in the Russian Federation.

Initially, it is planned to build 107 drones of ShahED-236 at a plant in Elabuz, Tatarstan. It is planned that the plant delegation will visit Iran in 2023 to exchange experience. There is also data on the development of an advanced version of UAV with a jet engine and a version designed to collect intelligence. We will remind that the commander of the Land Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Pavlyuk said that the Armed Forces are testing the version of the LEOPARD 1A5 tank.
