It is based on 40 mm BOFORS 40 MK4 Automatic cannon, which has a range of up to 12 km, at the same time up to 300 shots per minute.
In addition, the system allows you to regulate the fire, reducing it to 200 shots per minute, which can be important for saving ammunition and adaptation to specific combat missions. The gun uses BOFORS 3P ammunition with a programmable blast, which significantly increases the efficiency of airborne control, including drone and winged missiles. Tridon MK 2 is characterized by high mobility - it can be installed both on the caterpillars BVS 10 and on Volvo's civilian trucks.
Moreover, the complex is equipped with an electric drive, which makes it more flexible and easily integrated with different platforms, unlike traditional hydraulic systems. Thus, Tridon MK2 is a powerful and versatile air defense tool that combines high efficiency, low operational costs and a wide scope. The system is able to withstand multiple threats at the same time, filling the gap between more expensive missile circulations and less effective traditional artillery systems.
