In Pokrovsk, the situation is "not in our favor": what should the Armed Forces of Ukraine do when leaving the cauldron — an expert (video)

Share: The situation in Pokrovsk is being maintained thanks to the units of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the Airborne Assault Forces, and the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces, a military expert explained. Despite the return of the Ukrainian flag to the city council building, the city will most likely have to leave in the near future.

Ukrainian special forces "on their shoulders" hold the defense of Pokrovsk and do not allow the two "pincers" that surround it from two sides to close, said former SBU employee and military expert Ivan Stupak on the air of media NV. The distance between these protrusions is about five kilometers, and it is noteworthy that the analysts of the DeepState project did not update the data for several days in a row. According to the expert, real changes in this area "are not in our favor".

In a conversation with a journalist, the expert agreed that the installation of the Ukrainian flag in Pokrovsk by the soldiers of the 425th assault regiment "Skelya" of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is a "heroic act", but it, in his opinion, has more moral weight. According to Stupak, Ukraine is "losing its city. " "A great heroic act by the guys who work there. It's good for morale, because it shows that Pokrovsk is not under the control of the Russians.

But conceptually, we have to understand that the situation is not in our favor. In general, unfortunately, we are losing the city," he said. Stupak announced the three main tasks facing the defense forces in view of the situation in Pokrovsk. The first task is to "get our guys out of the cauldron, out of the bag, who are there": we are talking about the alive and the wounded.

The second task is "to remove the maximum amount of equipment, weapons, and ammunition so that it does not fall into the hands of the Russian Federation. " Third, if it is not possible to take it out, then the equipment should be blown up, it was said on the air. The Russians are "determined" to finally take the relatively small city of Pokrovsk, and have thrown all their resources at it, the expert concluded. "The Kremlin still made a decision: someone got impatient.

They made a decision to finally push with any forces, any resources," Stupak said. The battles in Pokrovsk and the special operation of the 426th Special Operations Command "Skelya" were reported on the unit's YouTube channel. On November 5, a video appeared in which fighters entered the city and planted a flag at the Pokrovsk City Council. On the DeepState map, the target is at a depth of 2. 5 km in the gray area in the very center of the city.

It turned out that the groups of the 210th and 1st assault battalions were active, secretly making their way first by car, then on foot. On the way, they came across an ambush, a stalking drone, but they reached the goal, with one person lightly wounded. After that, they reached the city council, "cleared" the enemy and got to a safe place, the video says.
