Russia's WMF plans to equip their landing ships with Orlan-10 and Zala Drona-Media

Western experts have suggested that, along with these drones, the Russian landing ships can also be modernized to work with Drone-Kamikadze Family of Lancet. The Russian Navy plans to expand the capabilities of its landing ships, taking into account hostilities in Ukraine. One of these initiatives involves the integration of "Orlan-10" and ZaLA drones to raise the situational awareness of ships during landing operations.

This was reported by the Russian media with reference to sources in the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. "With the help of UAV, the crews will be able to adjust the fire of artillery and cover the landing. Orlan-10 and Zala drones will provide landing ships with modern surveillance and intelligence, both at the stage of preparation for landing and during operations.

UAVs can also be used as a means of observation to identify and designate goals for marine artillery already used by the enemy during the battle for Mariupol. Commenting on Russian media information, Western observers said that despite the silence of official representatives of the Russian military command, landing ships can also be modernized to work with drones-Kamikadze family "Lancet", which will provide organic high-precision fire support.

We will remind, the head of the Presidential Office Andriy Ermak in August last year reported that Russian drones "Lancet" and "Orlan" create problems for the Defense Forces of Ukraine. According to him, drones pose a threat that cannot be ignored. Previously, we wrote in detail about the tactical and technical characteristics of Russian Zala drone. It is a quadcopter type drone that can rise to a height of 1500 m and has a speed of 30 km/h, with the maximum flight time is 30 minutes.
