Markarova referred such a request to the Ministry of Finance. "Sanctions are as important as weapons. As soon as one bank falls under sanctions, the other suddenly finances the industry or the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation," the ambassador added.
According to her, any Russian bank is a legitimate goal for sanctions, as they all actively finance Putin's military campaign. US senators intend to insist that Congress approves the relevant bill.
