"Such an opportunity": Markuska does not rule out that prisoners will join the Armed Forces

There are few women who serve in Ukrainian colonies or prisons. According to the Minister of Justice, they do not often commit crimes. The law does not prohibit the convicted women to join the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, however, now there are no people who want to be recorded. This was announced on the air of the telecommunication by the Minister of Justice Denis Masus.

"There are no women," he said, answering the question whether women are among the convicts who have expressed a desire to mobilize. According to him, there are no restrictions on the gender of the Ukrainian laws. However, although theoretically there is an opportunity, there is no demand in the Armed Forces for the mobilization of women who are in prison. At the same time, Masus emphasized, there is a demand for men to fulfill orders from the Defense Ministry.

He also noted that there are not many women in the penitentiary system, because the latter commit crimes much less. In addition, courts rarely give women punishment related to imprisonment. We will remind, with prisoners about possible mobilization spoke representatives of the assault battalion "Wolf Da Vinci". The third separate storm team of the Armed Forces also launched a recruiting campaign among this category.
