The US Army has launched the largest Steadfast Defender 24 exercise in Europe - Pentagon

NATO seeks to see how much the bloc participants are able to organize and maintain complex multifaceted operations for several months and under any conditions. In the training program, participants will respond to threats in the conditions of the Russian Federation against Ukraine. General Christopher Cavoli, the Supreme Commander -in -Chief of NATO Armed Forces in Europe, stated that common values ​​and international order based on the rules need protection. He said Steadfast Defender 24 will demonstrate the ability of the bloc to quickly expand forces from North America and other alliance parts to strengthen Europe's defense.

"Defender 2024 will be a clear demonstration of unity, strength and determination to protect each other," he said. The training will be held in several locations, and the relevant exercises will last until May 31, 2024. These will be the first large -scale alliance training, which will implement new defense plans.
